Answering questions is a major part of sex education. Two rules cover the ground. First, always give truthful answers to a questions; secondly, regard sex knowledge as exactly like any other knowledge

Bertrand Russell

The sex education curriculum in America varies greatly and has a large influence on the health of teens in relation to STDs and teen pregnancy.  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have found that states with abstinence-only education have the highest rates of teen pregnancy.  Not providing teens with through sex education has consequences in many areas.  In this, we'll be discussing the Texas sex ED curriculum.

Texas does not require sex education or information about HIV.  If a school in Texas chooses to provide information, they are allowed to give false or misleading facts.  Their curriculum must also state abstinence as the best method and condemn homosexuality or provide only negative information on it.  Despite promoting abstinence to such a large amount, Texas has the 3rd highest rate of teen pregnancy out of the USA.
